“The Law Club” organized  the legal latin competition for the BA LLB students. This activity was completely based on core legal concepts wherein students while preparation learnt and understood the established universal principles of law and moral philosophy (legal/latin maxims/phrases) which is the basis of legal jurisprudence.

Twelve groups were formed in both the sections, each group consisting of  seven to eight students. One latin maxim/phrase  relating to Law of Torts (subject in current semester curriculum) was chosen by each group representative. The maxims were:

  1. Injuria sine damnum
  2. Volunti Non Fit Injuria
  3. Vis Major
  4. Res Ipsa Loquitur

5.Respondeat Superior

  1. Qui facit per alium facit per se.

The students participated in this activity with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. The aspiring students were proficient with these terms and gave a splendid performance.

Well Done…Asianites!!!
