With the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) having decided to cancel the remaining papers for Class 10 & 12, students and parents were having the query about when CBSE 10th and 12th results will be announced by the Board. To put an end to these queries, the CBSE Board has now decided to announce the CBSE Result 2020 by 15th July 2020. This result will be prepared on the basis of internal assessment for both Class 10 and 12.
As far as the calculation of the result is concerned, the Board has said that it would be releasing the results based on the internal assessment for previous three papers for all the students for the exams that were not conducted. Here, the marks for the internal and the papers that were conducted would be taken as is. While for Class 10, there would be no option for change, for CBSE Class 12, students would have an option to appear for the examination.
Making it clear to the SC, the Board’s spokesperson has stated that no examinations would be conducted in July 2020. Nevertheless, for Class 12 students, there would be an option to appear for the examination later when the situation is conducive. For such students who decide to appear for the examination conducted by the Board at a later date, the marks scored in the exams would be considered as final.
As regards the internal assessment, the exact percentage of marks that would be awarded and the formula has not been shared by the Board as of now. However, it is expected to be released by CBSE on cbse.nic.in soon. Thus, students would have ample time to decide. As of now, the exams are not being conducted and results would be declared by 15th July 2020.
