As we all know, the date for CLAT 2020 law entrance exam – which is the centralized national level entrance exam for the National Law Universities (NLUs) and other good and renowned college for studying law programmes in India – has been consistently getting postponed due to the Coronavirus crisis in the country.

The latest news on this is that, on Friday, 27th August 2020, Consortium of National Law Universities decided to reschedule the CLAT 2020 examination to 28th September 2020. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be held on 7th September 2020, which has now been postponed to 28th September 2020.
The CLAT 2020 examination for both UG and PG candidates will now be held on 28th September 2020.
Issuing a notice on Friday, 27th August 2020, the Convenor for CLAT 2020, Professor Balraj Chauhan said that the CLAT 2020 examination for both UG and PG candidates scheduled for 7th September, 2020 has been postponed to Monday, the 28th September, 2020 from 2 to 4 PM.
The Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities held a meeting on 27th August 2020, to review the precautionary measures taken in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic and the resulting situation in various states across the country.
The Executive Committee had assessed the prevailing lockdown situation in various parts of the country and in particular, took into consideration the lockdown announced in the state of West Bengal for 7th September 2020, and the continued lockdown in the state of Bihar until the 6th September 2020. On this basis, the Consortium has decided to postpone the CLAT examination.
